Hi all, <o:p></o:p>

I would like to consult with you on my career. I am getting more concerned about it. I have been pursuing a business career since I graduated from college. I have gained some successes in my area of expertise which is mainly about sales/marketing and trade promotion. My problem is I’m no longer interested in doing this kind of job. Initially I thought it was due the working environment I was in so I applied to work for a new company. But now I’ve realized that it is not the office, not the working environment since I have been treated well by my bosses (ex and now) and coworkers. It’s actually the nature of the job that makes me so bored, even hate it. I have to struggle everyday to fulfill even the simplest task.

I am considering taking a degree for Multimedia Design. After completing the degree, I am told to be able to work in designing areas of advertising, television, newspapers, movie making, 3D, web designs etc. Despite those fascinating offers of the degree, I am worried about turning into a completely different career path in mid 30s. I know a success would be depending on how good I am and how hard I try in this new area. But I would like to seek for your advices on the possibility for me to succeed, whether it’s low or high, whether I should study the design or not.

You described well your problem, that actually strikes a chord in me, as from time to time I thought I may have the same problem, I go through similar state of mind, strugling with such a low motivation to work, having difficulty to complete even a simple task...

Because of your concern, I started to suspect perhaps the Chart you are using, based on the hour of the Tiger, may not correctly depict yourself, your character, or tendency, as well as behaviour in work and life? 4:55AM is well within the "gray area", transitional between the two hour, Tiger and Cat (Rabbit in Chinese chart). This Chart would suggest you were born into an established, if not well-to-do family, and you would most likely have younger step siblings, although this is not always the case. More accurately you would have relatively more siblings, or adopted brothers/sisters. Is it correct?

However not conclusive, this Chart suggests, IMO, your tendency to change, whether it is your career, or your marriage, especially the star combination in these two Palaces may inherently not "supporting" to start with. As a side question to further verify, how is your work habit? Do you "religiously" finish your tasks in a step-by-step, methodical approach? Or you would have a tendency to wait for the right moment of inspiration, and/or especially the last minutes, that by itself a motivation of "do or die", then you can be motivated to get things done, at times can pull an "all nighter"?

From your feedback to Mr.Orchid, I personally think that you belong to the "tiger" hour.

In your chart, from 09/2008-09/2009, your life moved to the "Children Palace", the annual chance (niên vận) stayed at your "Lilfe Palace". This marked a significant change in your life. I think that's why you felt you want to change your job.

However, this 10-year period at the children palace also got "nullity star" (thien khong), so be careful when you started a new thing. From your chart, I also did not see a better movement for the next year.

So the decision stays in your hand..
